RECORDING FOR SINGERS WITH BACKING TRACKS
7 days a week 8.00am – 11.00pm
Singers want to record to a backing track for a variety of reasons. It could be to showcase their voice in the best possible way, perhaps to encourage more “live” work, audition for a band, or a vocal demo for admission in to stage school or that West End show!
We get a lot of children and teen’s wanting to record a favourite song as a present for a loved one – the most amazing and precious gift they will receive.

Whatever the reason, echo7 has an unlimited library of backing tracks, which enables you to focus your studio time in showing off your voice and your strength as a singer.
George has the skills, knowledge and passion to help you create something you will be proud of, he will usually get 2 or 3 tracks down in a half-day session at echo7 and you will walk away with your voice recorded to a professional level, to take you on the next step of your music journey.
For recording vocals we tend to use the following 3 microphones:
- Avantone CV12. This is a valve microphone and is used exclusively by Taylor Swift – ideal for female vocalists giving depth and fantastic tonal range.
- Shure SM7B. Michael Jackson used this microphone to record his Thriller album.
- Rode NT1A. A good all round vocal microphone and compliments all different types of voices.
However, if you have a favourite microphone that suits you, let us know and we can see if we can get it in. So if you are looking to record your single, EP or album we will transform your music into releasable finished , mixed and mastered tracks.
On site free parking for 7 cars with easy access for unloading and loading gear into live room. Conveniently situated just 30 minutes from London or Guildford and 10 minutes from the A3 (Tolworth junction) or M25, (Leatherhead, junction 9).

Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 11.00pm £35.00 per hour, minimum 3 hours or Day Rate (10.00am – 6.00pm) £240.00 Save £40.00!
Saturday and Sunday: 8.00am – 11.00pm £40.00 per hour, minimum 3 hours or Day Rate (*10.00am – 6.00pm) £280.00 Save £40.00
